📍 Location & Address

🏢 The test centre is located inside the North East Scotland College building in Aberdeen:

Address:
PSI at Aberdeen College
North East Scotland College, Ground Floor,
Gallowgate, Aberdeen, Scotland, AB25 1BN

🕘 Usually open Monday–Friday during daytime hours.

Make sure to look for the North East Scotland College signage on the building — it’s usually clearly visible as you approach on Gallowgate.

By Train 🚉

If you’re coming from outside Aberdeen or prefer rail travel:

  • 🚆 Arrive at Aberdeen Train Station — the main rail station in the city.

  • The station is about 1 km (about a 12–15 minute walk) from the test centre.

Walking from the station:

  1. Head north along B983

  2. Walk through the city centre

  3. Continue to Loch Street / Gallowgate

  4. The test centre will be on your right 📍

📌 If you prefer not to walk:

  • You could take a local bus from near the station — but many find it simpler to walk due to the short distance.

By Bus 🚌

Aberdeen has a good city bus network run by companies like First Bus and Stagecoach.

🛑 Recommended Bus Stops (all within ~5 min walk):

  • Seamount Road

  • Bon Accord Centre

  • Nelson Street
These stops are close enough to walk to the test centre comfortably.

🚌 How to Pay on the Bus

  • Most buses now use contactless payment

    • Tap your debit/credit card when boarding

    • Or use Apple Pay / Google Pay

  • Some buses still accept exact cash (coins) if contactless isn’t available

  • Ask the driver if you’re unsure — they’re usually happy to help 😊

📱 Tip: Apps like First Bus App or checking an online bus map helps you plan the best route and times before you travel.

By Car 🚗

Driving to the test centre is straightforward — it’s near the centre of Aberdeen.

⚠️ Road Notes

  • There are bus priority lanes / bus gates in the city centre — watch road signs and obey restrictions to avoid fines. Aberdeen City Council

🅿️ Parking Information

🅿️ On-Street Parking

  • Loch Street (near the centre) has limited on-street spaces, and spots aren’t guaranteed on test day.

📍 Recommended Parking Nearby

West North Street Car Park

  • 📍 About 500 m walk from the college building (easy walk).

  • 🅿️ Two-hour stay: ~£2.40 (typical, but check signage — prices may change).

  • 👉 You can usually pay by:

    • Cash

    • PayByPhone App (enter location code from the sign)

🪪 This gives you enough time to walk to the centre, take your test, and return to your car.

💡 Tip: Aberdeen city centre has many paid car parks (West North Street, Loch Street, Union Square, Chapel Street, etc.) — look for signs and prices before parking. Aberdeen City Council

📌 Finding the Building Easily

When you’re close:

✔ Look for North East Scotland College graphics and signs on the building exterior — it’s hard to miss.

✔ The test centre is on the ground floor, so you won’t need to go up stairs or elevators.

📞 Before You Go

✔ Arrive at least 15–20 minutes early
✔ Bring your appointment confirmation
